Many DAB+ Digital Radios don't have line level outputs. They are primarliy designed as portables and have headphone outlets instead. These outputs can produce unwanted noise and distortion. Many of these radios also rely on internal antennas and have no external antenna input.

The Plum Audio tuner is designed specifically for use as a Hi-Fi component with proper line level outputs and a proper F-type socket for connection to an external FM or TV antenna.
